When You Visit

Cover Your Head

All visitors must cover their heads inside the Darbar Sahib. Headscarves are available at the entrance.

Remove Footwear

Shoes must be removed before entering. A shoe rack is provided near the entrance.

Wash Your Hands

Wash your hands and feet (optional) at the washing area before entering the holy premises.

Matha Tekna

Bow respectfully before Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji when entering the Darbar Sahib.

Eat Langar

Langar is free for everyone. Sit on the floor with the Sangat — this is the Sikh tradition of equality.

Silence & Respect

Keep phones on silent inside the Darbar Sahib. Maintain a quiet, respectful atmosphere during kirtan.

Is the Gurdwara open to non-Sikhs?

Absolutely. Gurdwara Dukh Nivaran Sahib welcomes everyone — regardless of religion, caste, or background. All are invited to attend prayer, eat langar, and find peace here.

What should I wear when visiting?

Please cover your head before entering the Darbar Sahib. Headscarves and bandanas are available at the entrance if needed. Remove your shoes at the entrance.

Can I volunteer for Langar Seva?

Yes! We welcome individual volunteers, families, school groups, and corporate teams for langar seva. Contact us to schedule your seva session.

How can I make a donation?

Donations can be made in cash at the Gurdwara, via bank transfer, or through UPI. Visit our Langar Seva page for full donation details.

Do you perform religious ceremonies (Anand Karaj, Naam Karan)?

Yes, we perform all Sikh religious ceremonies including Anand Karaj (wedding), Naam Karan (naming), Akhand Path, and Antim Ardas. Please contact us at least 2 weeks in advance.
